The Process of Web Site Development
There is no such thing as a universal solution. Every company is unique. Whether it's a basic web site to get your business started or a complex system of integrated applications including content management, there is a solution for you.
The Anexio New Media Team takes a careful, professional approach to the intensely personal process of capturing and promoting your company with images, colors and text — in print as well as the web. We pride ourselves on “speaking your language” — not the geek-speak so prevalent in our profession. It's a process that we thoroughly enjoy, and we think you will too.
UNDERSTANDING: From our very first meeting, we focus on understanding your company's brand, business model and customer base so that throughout the design process we keep the ultimate goal in mind - helping your business succeed.
We ask you what is the purpose(s) of the site – what do you hope to accomplish with a website - how do you envision the website once it’s completed, and who is your target audience. We ask about content and how this content will be categorized. We determine what production materials you already have and collect already-established print materials (logos, stationary, envelopes, brochures, magazine/newspaper ads, booklets, leaflets, corporate communications, seminar materials).
After developing a thorough understanding of your business objectives and project requirements, we tailor our process to fit the project.
PROPOSAL: A detailed customized proposal is provided outlining the complete functionality of your website, its visual design and architecture, costs and a timeline. This can include both front-end design and back-end development.
MOCKUPS: Once the proposal is accepted, our next step is to design mockups - preliminary site designs combining the client’s vision with our own. We incorporate expert design, navigation, visual and verbal expression, structural flow, content development and technical expertise. At this point our client views the mockups, gives us his feedback, and we adjust the design accordingly. Once we obtain signed mockup approval, we move on to full production.
PRODUCTION: Here is where it all comes together. During this phase, The Anexio New Media Team integrates media elements with the ideas and design concepts outlined above to transform the project into a reality. This can take anywhere from a few days for several weeks, depending on the size of the project.
The end result is an attractive, functional, compelling vision of your business on the World Wide Web.
CONTENT MANAGEMENT: Content management is web-based publishing. With our robust Content Management System (CMS), we put the control of publishing content on your web site into your hands.
We will train you to grow your web site yourself. You will have the ability to update the text and image content of designated areas on each page of your site, and to create new pages as they are needed. We design "scalable" websites that are designed to grow and expand as the need arises.
Anexio New Media will provide one-on-one personalized training, as well as a customized Training Manual created specifically for your web site. We also provide follow-up support and further training if requested.
LAUNCH: We set your site loose to the online world and begin the process of promoting your site and growing the volume of visitors.
PROMOTION: There is little value to a brilliant site that no one can find. Having studied search engines and internet promotion for several years, The Anexio New Media Team routinely achieves powerful results with our promotion techniques.
MAINTENANCE: People assign more credibility to web sites that have been recently updated than to those that remain static. The Anexio New Media Team will work with you to maintain your web site and keep it fresh. Even better, we will train you to maintain your web site yourself! Our Content Management System (CMS) allows you to edit and modify text and images easily and intuitively.
PRINT COLLATERAL: It is essential that you deliver your message consistently across all media.
